The Equality Candidate training is a non-partisan training designed for LGBTQ candidates who are planning to seek public office.
Think of this training as a 101/102 style campaign course that takes advantage of the knowledge that already exists within our LGBTQ community.
The training will cover some campaign basics, like how to write and stick to an effective campaign plan, how to build a campaign budget, need to know things about campaign finance and tips and tools to build a field and GOTV plan.
Our goal is for all the candidates to leave at the end of the day with real world tools they can put into use immediately to help run a professional campaign.
In addition, our friends at Pride Portraits will be on hand to provide candidates with headshots for use on your campaign materials and websites, free of charge - so dress to impress.
We want to thank our friends at the Montrose Center for sponsoring the space for this training.
This training is free to attend, but an RSVP is required. Lunch will be provided.
