National Coming Out Day is an annual LGBTQ awareness day observed on October 11, but we are encouraging folks to come to Houston City Council to tell their public coming out story at public session on Tuesday, October 9th.
Without our national and state climate of intolerance, it is more important than ever to be visible and speak out. With the defeat of HERO and current council members courting anti-LGBTQ groups, they need to hear that they have LGBTQ constituents.
To reserve time to address City Council (up to three minutes), contact the City Secretary's Office (832.393.1100) prior to the commencement of the meeting on October 9th.
We will remind you!
