To celebrate Pride month and to highlight the voices of transgender, gender nonconforming and non-binary individuals Transform Houston has created two fundraisers benefiting the Transgender Education Network of Texas and Black Trans Women Inc. Many non-profit organizations have had to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic and have seen complications in fundraising so we wanted to help raise additional funds for these organizations while also helping to raise their visibility.
We have designed 2 t-shirts, one featuring LGBTQ icons Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson and one featuring legendary Houston activist Monica Roberts.
Our Sylvia & Marsha t-shirt will benefit the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT). TENT is the only statewide trans-led organization in Texas and has made a name for themselves by combating anti-LGBTQ legislation at the Texas Capitol.
TENT's work is all about furthering gender diverse equality in Texas. They are constantly doing public education, networking in both public and private forums and working across Texas to fight back against discrimination.

Our second design is featuring legendary Houston activist Monica Roberts, the founding editor of the award-winning blog Transgriot.
This shirt is highlighting the struggle that black trans women face every day in our society and the years of work that Monica Roberts has put into elevating the experiences of the transgender community.
All the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will be benefiting Black Transwomen Inc.
Transform Houston is proud to be supporting these organizations doing vital work for equality all over the state of Texas and all over the country. We encourage you to purchase a shirt benefiting one of these organizations and to follow the links highlighted above to learn more about these groups and provide them with any additional support you can.
